Members-Only Lakes

Lake Management & Access in St. Joseph, Minnesota

The St. Joseph Rod & Gun Club maintains members-only access landings for three area lakes. The landings listed below are private landings limited to club members. If you’d like to learn more about club membership, click on the membership information button below!

Proof of membership MUST be displayed via membership card or decal in the front window of your vehicle when using the private landings. Violators are subject to a trespassing fine, having their vehicle towed at the owner’s expense, or both.

Kraemer Lake

Total Area: 195.03 acres
Littoral Area: 105 acres

Lake Amenities

In addition to fishing, Kraemer has a family-friendly beach area for swimming and playing.  There is a fishing pier, picnic tables, and restrooms at the landing.

Fishing Outlook

Kraemer Lake’s relatively large littoral area in comparison to its total size makes for a great variety of fishing spots all over the lake. The lake is periodically stocked with walleye. Anglers can expect to find a variety of fish, including:

  • Brown Bullhead
  • Carp
  • Largemouth Bass
  • Northern Pike
  • Pumpkinseed
  • Walleye

Watab (Long) Lake & Rossier Lake

Lake Amenities

The landing is located on Watab Lake and features a new renovated cement ramp with dock, and restrooms.

The Watab River connects both lakes. Anglers can expect to find a variety of fish in this lake and river system, including:
