About the Event

• The field day consists of seven required scenario-based training opportunities. These scenarios allow students to learn and demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and the handling of firearms. It includes shooting a .22 caliber rifle on a range.
• The course fee is non-refundable.
• Students age 11 and older must complete their online hunter safety course at: https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/safety/firearms/index.html and bring the completion certificate.
• Items to bring to the field day
  • Fire arm (NO AMMUNITION);
  • something to eat and drink; and
  • weather appropriate clothing.
